Analyse five fonts from Dafont

Dafont is a website that you can download and use the fonts you want without any hassle. You're able to download any font you want and as many as you want as well as having the option to search for what style you want. Below I'm going to analyse five different fonts specifically from dafont. These fonts are Horror, Romance, Sci-fi, Action and Historical.

Horror:

This font is a horror styled font and appears to have the effect of blood splattering/spraying around the actual text. This would be one of the reasons that the horror genre is given off because if you were to put this font in red, it would look more like the blood splatter effect; where as the writing is in black right now it looks like black blood and possibly scattered dirt. Another reason that this font gives off the horror feel is because of the creepy/weird text that the blood splatter effect is around. It stands out and personally acts as a warning to me because of how bold and big it is. 

 

Romance:

This font comes across as a romantic styled font. The reason I state this about the font is because of the love hearts around the Times New Roman font. When this font is in black, it looks bland and boring. But if the user of the font were to put it in red, pink or light pink it would look more like the romantic text you want but also a bit more interesting at the same time. Another reason why the text comes across to me as romantic is because of the way the letters are styled (e.g. The R in Romantic and the O in romantic). 

Sci-fi:

With this font, it's style is more of a Sci-fi effect as the lettering is a weird alien type text. As I've stated with every text above, in black it looks boring and plain but when the user of the text puts it into a colour (One that fits the writing and has relevance to the text) it looks brighter and looks like it has more life. The reason I feel that this text is more of a Sci-fi is because the E in NEO has a type of warning effect on the bottom of it and in the SCI-FI looks science like.

Action:

This next text looks like an action styled text because of the way it's styled. All the letters in Hauser are square like and boxed in. This gives off the effect of action and a bit of mystery. Another the reason I think that this text looks adventurous is because I put the lettering into word and typed in "Action Text" to see how it would look. The result I got supports the fact that it looks like an action styled text.
